Canadian surfers eye Olympic debut

Canadian surfers Pete Devries and Mathea Olin secured their spots on Team Canada after podium finishes in the Olympic team trials, held in their home waters off Wickanninish Beach, near Tofino, B.C. Surfing debuts as an Olympic sport at the 2020 Tokyo Games and Canada is — perhaps surprisingly — a contender.
